Specialized Packaging for Large Format Ceramic Tiles
Handling and packaging large-size ceramic tiles presents unique challenges, requiring solutions that ensure stability, safety, and product integrity. SHJLPACK has developed a specialized packaging line specifically designed for these demanding applications, leveraging an innovative inclined strapping method.
The Inclined Strapping Advantage
The core innovation of this system lies in its special strapping operations performed in an inclined position. This method significantly enhances the solidity and safety of the packaged load. By securely strapping tiles while angled, the system creates a more stable pack, crucial for preventing breakage and shifting during transport and storage of heavy, large-format materials.
Key Component: The SH-L5 Strapping Machine
At the heart of this packaging line is the special SH-L5 strapping machine. Unlike conventional machines, the SH-L5 features a strapping head that follows the angle of the inclined tiles. This ensures perfect band placement and bonding along the entire length of the tile, maximizing load security. The strapping operation is repeatable along the tile length and can be adjusted based on the specific product requirements. Once a cycle is complete, the machine automatically returns to its home position, ready for the next load.
The SH-L5 machine is equipped with a double coil system. This feature enhances system efficiency by reducing downtime associated with material changes and improves operator safety during band coil replenishment.
Technical Specifications
The system is designed for flexibility, accommodating common strapping materials used in the industry.
| Feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| Strapping Band Type | Polypropylene (PP) and Polyester (PET) |
| Band Width | 8 mm to 19 mm |
| Band Thickness | 0.50 mm to 1.00 mm |
| Strapping Tension | Up to 300 kg |
| Joint Method | Friction Welding (Vibration) |
Enhanced Product Protection (Optional)
For complete protection against atmospheric agents and environmental damage, the inclined strapping process can be complemented by a wrapping operation. Depending on production volume and line speed, this wrapping can be integrated using either automatic or semi-automatic wrapping machines, providing an additional layer of security and weather resistance to the packaged large ceramic tiles.
