Streamlined Operation with Smart Controls
Operating the SHJLPACK Wrapper Tornado Smart Controls is designed for simplicity and efficiency, primarily performed by a forklift operator:
- Positioning the Load: The forklift operator lifts a pallet load and moves towards the center of the machine's wrapping ring.
- Initiating the Wrap: The operator attaches the end of the stretch film to the pallet.
- Remote Activation: Returning to the driver's seat with the corded or optional wireless remote control, the operator presses and releases the start button just once.
- Automated Wrapping Cycle: The Smart Controls automatically position the film dispensing unit using a position encoding system. It then begins a continuous process, encircling the pallet load 360 degrees around and under both the pallet and the product. The operator slowly moves the forklift forward or backward as the wrapping proceeds.
- Securing the Load: This unique under-pallet wrapping technique effectively locks the load directly to the pallet, creating a stable, unitized package that significantly reduces shifting and sliding. This helps prevent damage during transit, reducing rejected orders.
- Stopping the Wrap: Once wrapping is complete, a single press and release of the stop button on the remote halts the process.
- Automated Film Management: The Smart Controls automatically cut the stretch wrap and hold onto the end of the film roll, ensuring the machine is immediately ready for the next load without manual intervention.
- Final Placement: The operator then sets the securely wrapped pallet in its designated location, whether for storage, shipping, or work in process. The corded remote is returned to its place on the machine.
This entire process can be completed by a single operator, with the pallet remaining on the forklift throughout, eliminating the need for banding, strapping, boxes, crates, corrugated containers, or conveyors for wrapping.
